Move Your Money

After the financial crash in 2008 it felt like no one had been held to account and nothing had really changed. Together with a group of friends we began asking ourselves what a meaningful response would, or even could, look like from the wider public.

We landed on trying to move as much money as possible to more ethical financial institutions but the challenge was - how to drive behaviour change at a scale large enough to make a difference.

The campaign launched in 2012 by replicating an iconic image, a run on a bank - with us lining up to withdraw our savings. From there the campaign worked to stay as highly visible as we could make it, helping contribute to record breaking numbers of people leaving the big five banks.
